Introduction to Ceramics 6 Week Class

During this 6 week class, you will learn everything you need to know about making clay art.  Open to all levels.

Marsha, who recently moved to Columbus from Denver, Colorado, where she was teaching adult clay classes. She is currently an adjunct professor at The Ohio State Univerisity.

We welcome anyone who is interested.

Instruction Included: This class is not project-based but will focus on technical aspects of clay and conceptual reasoning for making artwork. We’ll cover functional pottery as well as sculptural art. Our goal is to create a college-level class without all the pressure of college.

When: Tuesdays evenings: October – November 2021 in session. Next session DBA.

Time: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Supplies Included: 20 pounds of clay, underglazes, glazes, and firing. More clay can be purchased at the Kiln Room. Community clay tools are provided. (You’re encouraged to bring your own tools or purchase some at the Kiln Room).

Cost: $225  (limited number of spots available).
